Azad Jammu Kashmir

In 1961-62 Girl Guiding was taken to Azad Jammu and Kashmir and a separate status was granted to them.  In early stages Guide companies were formed in districts of Muzaferabad and Mir Pur. First Guide House of AJK branch was constructed in Muzaferabad.  In early 90s Guiding was taken to other districts of AJK and a district trainer was appointed in the districts of Kotli, Bhimber, Bagh and Rawalakot. Senior Guide branch was also initiated in AJK and Miss Hanifa Khanum was appointed the first commissioner for Senior Guides in AJK.

After the Earthquake of 2005 the Guide House at Muzaferabad was reconstructed by the national Relief Cell of Pakistan Girl Guides Association.
